Well, I don't think the matter here is of style, but of self-improvement. I merely suggested looking at other realistic/anime mixes so that you could get a feel of how you could mix them together, while still looking good and making it your thing. I understand this is one of your first attempts, so it might not look so great now. Therefore, I hope you can improve that. Like I said, I think the design is really well done, and good, it can be used on a bag and whatever...but in case you didn't notice this is animepaper.net...and you submitted that work as a wallpaper. If you want to advertise your designs you might want to try deviant art.
I understand the whole contrast thing...light and dark, but as I said, it's just impossible on the eyes on the desktop. And...I'm sorry to say, but the girl's proportions are all off. There's a bump jutting out of her shoulder. Her neck is coming out oddly. Her arms are too thin, her eyes are too spaced out, her head is too round and stiffly shaped. So if you can improve on those things, I'd love to be able to see what you can do with that mixed with your design skills! If you actually take advice instead of saying to people "well i hope you'll like *my* style one day" then maybe you can actually get better. ;)
